Privacy Policy

Last updated July 2026. BragBoard is a free sports contest-management and leaderboard platform for private groups, friends, and family. It is not a sportsbook, casino, wagering app, or cash-prize platform.

Data We Collect

  • Account information such as username, display name, email address, password credentials, sessions, and account settings.
  • Contest information such as contests created or joined, memberships, roles, invite metadata, picks, submissions, leaderboards, results, scoring details, and message-board posts.
  • BragBoard AI information such as contest prompts, draft messages, clarification answers, generated draft settings, validation outcomes, and contest recap context when AI-assisted features are used.
  • Traffic analytics information such as web page views, app screen views, anonymous visitor IDs, session IDs, referrers, device platform, browser user agent, and logged-in user ID when available.
  • Operational information such as request metadata, audit logs, error context, security events, and runtime logs needed to operate and protect the service.

How We Use Data

  • Provide account access, contest creation, contest participation, scoring, leaderboards, admin tools, and support workflows.
  • Validate contest rules and AI-generated drafts through standard BragBoard server-side validation before any contest is finalized.
  • Understand web and app traffic patterns so BragBoard can improve navigation, reliability, and feature prioritization.
  • Protect private contests, detect abuse, debug failures, preserve auditability, and maintain service reliability.
  • Improve product quality without selling personal information or using contest activity for third-party advertising.

Third-Party Services

BragBoard may use sports data providers to load schedules, games, events, odds snapshots, and results. These provider requests are handled server-side where practical.

BragBoard AI is optional. When used, prompts and related contest context may be sent to OpenAI so BragBoard can generate structured drafts or playful contest recaps. AI output is treated as untrusted until validated by BragBoard rules, and the AI flow cannot bypass standard contest validation.

The mobile app uses secure device storage for authentication tokens and BragBoard traffic identifiers. BragBoard does not currently include advertising SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or push notification tokens in the native app.

Email Communications

BragBoard sends transactional account email only: email address verification and password reset messages, each triggered directly by an action you take (creating an account or requesting a password reset). BragBoard does not send marketing, promotional, or bulk email.

These emails are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES). BragBoard relies on Amazon SES's bounce and complaint handling, including its account-level suppression list, so an address that bounces or reports a message as spam is automatically suppressed from further BragBoard email. This protects deliverability and avoids repeated delivery attempts to invalid or unwilling addresses.

Because these messages are tied to account security rather than marketing, there is no separate promotional opt-out. You can stop receiving them by not requesting a password reset, or by deleting your account as described below.

Your Choices

You can update profile information, leave contests where supported, and log out from your account.

The mobile app includes account deletion under Profile. Deleting an account removes or anonymizes account access while preserving contest integrity where historical leaderboards or audit trails must remain coherent.
